• Anzac Weekend 2013 - Race day Saturday April 27 - it was the 6th birthday of the New Zealand Singlespeed Champs, first run by the Rotorua Singlespeed Society (the RSSS) in Whaka Forest, south of Rotorua in 2008 -

Garth Weinberg and Erin Greene won ta moko for 1st man and woman...everyone else was 2nd equal....lots and lots of photos on facebook...

The Pig and Whistle New Zealand Singlespeed Champs were run again in Rotorua in 2009 and then in 2010 it was The Big Show with the Singlespeed Champs of the World - 1000 entrants from 30 countries - being raced at our place...

In the meantime, the NZ champs went on a bit of a tiki tour - Queenstown in 2010, Hawkes Bay in 2011 and Nelson in 2012. 
In 2013, they came home for a quiet, little birthday celebration - beers were comsumed, lies were told, some fun was had...
